Trust & Safety

A marketplace built on transparency.

Optional verification, safe messaging, scam-prevention guidance and 24-hour moderation β€” so you can buy and sell with confidence.

Our four pillars

How we keep the marketplace safe.

Optional verification

Sellers, stud farms, trainers, vets and transporters can apply for verification to earn a trust badge. It's optional, not automatic, and clearly marked when granted.

Identity & Pro checks

Members who choose to verify submit ID β€” and business documents for Pro tier β€” before our team reviews and approves the badge on their profile and listings.

Safe in-platform messaging

All initial conversations happen inside the platform, so you can see who you're talking to before sharing personal details. Block and mute are one tap.

One-click reporting

Every listing, profile and message has a Report button. Our moderation team reviews flagged content within 24 hours, faster for safety issues.

Buyer's guide

Four rules that will save you a fortune.

Most horse-buying scams follow the same pattern. Follow these and you'll avoid almost all of them.

Always view in person or on video call

Never buy a horse from photos alone. Insist on a live video walk-around and, where possible, an in-person viewing before any money changes hands.

Get an independent vetting

Use a vet you've chosen β€” not one the seller suggests. Pre-purchase exams are the single best protection against costly surprises.

Be wary of urgency

Pressure to pay a deposit today, transfer-only payments, or sellers who refuse a video call are red flags. Genuine sellers welcome due diligence.

Pay safely, contract clearly

Use traceable payment methods, get a written bill of sale, and check passport, microchip and ownership before transport. Our Directory lists verified equine lawyers.
