Editorial standards and corrections
EquestrianMarket publishes practical marketplace guidance for people buying, selling and transporting horses. This page explains how that content is produced, what it is not, and how to tell us when something is wrong.
How our guides are written
- Guides are written by the EquestrianMarket editorial team from marketplace experience and published sources.
- Where we cite rules, paperwork requirements or figures, we link to the originating organisation rather than paraphrasing without a source.
- We do not publish statistics, market indices or price movements that we cannot attribute to a dataset and date range.
- We do not publish invented testimonials, customer quotes, credentials or qualifications.
- We do not claim veterinary, legal or professional review unless a named reviewer has genuinely reviewed the article, in which case the reviewer and review date appear on the article.
Scope and limits
Veterinary, welfare, transport, import/export, tax and legal information on this site is general education only. Requirements differ by country and change over time. Always confirm your own situation with a qualified vet, transporter, customs agent or lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction before acting.
Adverts on EquestrianMarket are written by sellers or supplied by partner marketplaces. Editorial guidance does not verify, endorse or warrant any individual horse, seller or business.
Corrections policy
- Factual errors are corrected as soon as they are confirmed.
- Substantive corrections — anything that changes the meaning or the advice — are noted at the foot of the article with the date.
- Typographical and formatting fixes are made silently.
- Articles that are no longer accurate and cannot be updated are unpublished rather than left online.
To report an error, use the contact form and include the article title and the specific claim in question.
Independence
Editorial content is not sold. Advertisers and partner marketplaces cannot buy a mention in a guide or blog article, and paid placement is always labelled as advertising.
