Sell Your Horse to Equestrian Buyers

Build a proper sales advert — photos, video, breeding, height, discipline and location — and put it in front of people who came here specifically to look at horses.

Who it's for

Who advertises horses here

A one-horse advert and a twenty-horse sales list need different things. Both work here.

  • Private owners selling one horse
  • Breeders with youngstock coming through
  • Stud farms with sale horses alongside their stallions
  • Dealers and sales yards
  • Professional riders moving on competition horses
  • Riding schools retiring or rehoming school horses

Why here

Why advertise your horse here

An equestrian audience only

Nobody lands on EquestrianMarket by accident. Every visitor came looking for horses or horse people.

Structured, searchable adverts

Breed, discipline, height, budget and country filters mean the right buyers reach your horse.

Messaging stays on-site

Enquiries arrive in your dashboard. Your phone number and email are not published in the advert.

Edit and re-price any time

Update details, swap photos or drop the price from your dashboard — buyers watching the horse can be alerted.

How it works

Three steps to going live

  1. 01

    Start your advert

Begin with the basics — name, breed, sex, year of birth and price. No account needed to start.

  2. 02

    Add photos, video and detail

Create your free account to save progress, then upload media and complete the full description.

  3. 03

    Publish

Your horse goes live on the marketplace and appears in the relevant breed, discipline, country and budget pages.

Trust & safety

Advertising honestly

Adverts are reviewed and buyers can report anything that looks wrong. Keep conversations on-site — we publish clear guidance on deposits, vettings and transport before money changes hands.

Before you publish

How to write a horse advert buyers trust

Most wasted enquiries come from adverts that leave the obvious questions unanswered. Cover these and the messages you get will be from people who are genuinely in the market.

  1. 01

    Lead with the facts

Age, height, sex, breed, discipline and location belong in the first two lines — buyers filter on them before they read anything else.

  2. 02

    Be specific about level

"Competed 1.10m nationally last season" tells a buyer far more than "talented jumper".

  3. 03

    Photograph the horse honestly

A conformation shot from the side on level ground, a head shot, and one under saddle. Natural daylight, no filters, no rugs hiding condition.

  4. 04

Add video if you have it

Walk, trot, canter on both reins in one unedited clip answers more questions than a page of text.

  5. 05

    State vetting and paperwork upfront

Passport, microchip, UELN, X-rays, and whether a recent vetting exists. Buyers crossing a border will ask anyway.

  6. 06

Price it or say "POA" deliberately

A price attracts serious enquiries; POA filters them out. Choose knowingly rather than by default.
